A Little History
The restaurant Fleur de Lotus opened in Val-d’Or in 1993. This is when it all started!
After years in the catering trade, the former owners decided to close the restaurant and to turn it into Mondial aliment, a food takeout business.
Due to the business’ instability, they renamed it Cari et Gingembre and kept the best-selling products of the former two businesses.
In February 2017, we were four stakeholders who invested in the business and who believed in the business’ flavours and potential. We acquired Cari et Gingembre, hired some staff, and rebranded the business in our image: new logo, new web page, a new sales point and grocery store, new products, and the same original great taste! As simple as pleasures to go! :)
We are a team of ten employees that is dedicated and passionate about its work! We have employees that have grown with the business since its beginnings in 1993. We are a sustainable, determined, and efficient team, and we love our team members as they are!
